Bangladesh is currently going through a major political turmoil with widespread protest across the country. The Awami League government has been ousted and the interim government has taken over and amidst this political confusion, the Bangladesh A team has now arrived in Pakistan for two four-day matches and three List A games with Pakistan A.

The arrival of the A team is a big green signal for the senior side tour of Pakistan who are scheduled to play two Test matches. The first Test is scheduled to start on 21st August in Rawalpindi while the second Test will be played from 30th of August in Karachi.

Political Turmoil Created Doubt Over Pakistan Tour

There were speculations that the tour will be cancelled due to protest in Pakistan, and for few days even the training of the players was not possible. However, they resumed training soon after the Army took over, and now are ready for the 1st four-day game against Pakistan Shaheens on 13th of August.

Bangladesh have announced three separate squad for the tour, with first four-day game consisting of Test regulars like Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim as well.

Bangladesh squad for the 2nd four day match: Anamul Haque Bijoy, Mohammad Naim, Saif Hasnat, Soumya Sarkar, Sahadat Hossain Dipu, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Zaker Ali Anik, Towhid Hridoy, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Hasan Murad, Tanvir Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Rahman Rejaur Raja, and Ruyel Miah.

Bangladesh squad for one-day match: Soumya Sarkar, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Mohammad Naim, Saif Hasnat, Towhid Hridoy, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Zaker Ali Anik, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hassan, Tanvir Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Rahman Rejaur Raja, and Ruyel Miah.
