Pakistan batter, Babar Azam has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons as of late. The Star player has been on a woeful run in Test cricket, and has not scored a fifty since December 2022. Babar and Pakistan are undergoing their toughest-ever phase, especially in Test cricket.

Under the leadership of Shan Masood, Pakistan have not won a single Test match, and were humiliated, first by Australia, and then the touring Bangladesh side, who thrashed them 2-0 in the recently concluded Test series.

Babar's form also came under the microscope, as he accumulated a mere 64 runs in four innings, and slipped to number 12 in the ICC Test rankings. Currently, Pakistan are hosting a tournament named- Champions Cup, in which all the big stars are involved, including Babar, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan.

Ahead of a practice session before the tournament, Babar faced yet another controversy, when a fan came in and asked for a photograph. Babar accepted the request for a picture, but the fan attempted to put his arm around the Pakistan batters' shoulder, which made Babar angry. He immediately put shrugged his hands off and gave an angry stare before clicking the picture.

Babar gets ready for the upcoming England challenge

After a humiliating series loss against Bangladesh, Pakistan brace for another tough test, when they take on England next month. The last time England toured Pakistan, they inflicted a 3-0 whitewash and the Pakistan team will be eager to avoid it.

For Babar, the series is of utmost importance. His place in the Test team has come under serious threat after numerous failures and the former Test skipper needs to score runs against England in order to salvage pride for himself and for the nation.
