Tragedy struck during the clash against Rajshahi Warriors as Capitals’ coach Mahbub Ali Zaki suddenly passed away from cardiac arrest. After the heartbreaking tragedy, the franchise named a new assistant coach.

As the BPL returned after a long time, fans expected some of the endless thrills, but the match between the Rajshahi Warriors and the Dhaka Capitals turned out to be a tragic one. During the practice before the match started, he was watching the preparations and suddenly fell sick.

He was rushed to the hospital, but tragically, it was too late to save him as he succumbed to sudden cardiac arrest. That incident stunned the fans, players, and officials across the world. But after Zaki’s dismissal, the Dhaka Capitals named a new assistant coach in his place.

To fill the void, the franchise named Ashiqur Rahman Majumdar as their new assistant coach. The Dhaka Capitals made the official announcement through an official statement. With Majumdar on board, the team gains a much-needed boost for the remainder of the tournament.

Capitals honor late coach with a thrilling victory

Just a moment before the match went live, the Dhaka Capitals faced a heartbreaking moment, but they gave the perfect tribute to the late coach.
