The Asia Cup 2025 was supposed to be a brilliant cricketing event, but Pakistan turned it into a mockery with their unnecessary gestures during and after the clash against the Indian team. It all started when, in the group stage match, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side decided not to shake hands with the Pakistan cricketers.
This infuriated the Pakistan Cricket Board, and they reached the ICC’s doors to lodge a complaint against the match referee, Andy Pycroft, for not maintaining decorum on the field. The ICC eventually rejected their plea as PCB decided to boycott the match against the UAE, but they eventually took a last-minute U-turn.
