In what can be described as a savage reply, BJP, India’s leading and currently ruling political party, trolled Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf sharply following the India-Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup Super Four round.

Haris Rauf had already faced severe backlash for his infamous 6-0 celebration and gesture during the match. While the Indian crowd reacted strongly, it seems the political party in power also weighed in to deliver a brutal retort to Pakistan.

BJP brutally trolls whole Pakistan with Rauf dig

BJP’s official social media handle posted a video highlighting Rauf’s gesture, depicting India's Rafale planes flying and then crashing as he indicated Pakistan’s fighter jets shooting them down. The video opened with Rauf’s gesture, and as his hand symbolically “crashed,” it was montaged with footage of a bombing in Pakistan, recorded by a Pakistani civilian on a mobile phone.

The caption read, “Rauf showed what he saw,” followed by the text in the video, “What is he trying to show?” as the video transitioned to the bombing clip, the text read, "Oh This...". The video ended with credits stating, “Directed by Indian Armed Forces.” The trolling was both sharp and symbolic, directly responding to Rauf’s on-field actions.

India's emphatic win over Pakistan by 6 wickets

The political dig coincided with India’s emphatic win over Pakistan by 6 wickets, chasing down a 172-run target with 7 balls to spare. Rauf himself took 2 wickets while conceding 26 runs from 4 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Shubhman Gill starred with the bat, while Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan played a composed innings to help his team post a competitive total.

Pakistan will next face Sri Lanka on September 23 for their second Asia Cup Super Four clash, while India will be pitched against Bangladesh on September 24 for their second match. With Pakistan losing the first encounter, a lot will be at stake for the team if they want to make it to the Asia Cup Final.
