ICC Turns Down Pakistan’s Andy Pycroft Request

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially rejected PCB’s demand of removing match referee Andy Pycroft from the remainder of the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup. Earlier, the PCB accused Pycroft, alleging that the former Zimbabwe cricketer was responsible over the ‘no handshake’ saga after the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match in Dubai. However, the ICC has reportedly explained that Pycroft was only following instructions from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) officials.

That being said, another report indicates that the cricketer-turned-referee will not be officiating in Pakistan’s matches of the competition.
