Asia Cup 2025 is all set to start on September 9 with eight teams fighting it out for the continental trophy. India are the firm favourites to lift the cup, as they have plenty of superstars in their line-up with a good mix of youth and experience.

All other teams also have some young and experienced players in their line-up. The average age is around 30 in most of the teams; however, Oman is one team who have two players over 40. 

Mohammad Nadeem is 42 years old while the oldest player of Asia Cup 2025 is Aamir Kaleem. He is 43 years, 279 days old as of August 26, 2025 and made his T20I debut in 2015.Hong Kong also have Ehsan Khan in their line-up, who is 40 years old, and he has been his country's go-to bowler in white-ball formats.

In the list of the youngest players of the competition, Allah Ghazanfar comes at the top as he is just 19 years old. The youngster has already done wonders for his country in the ODI format and could be key in the Asia Cup with his mystery and accuracy. 

He was also bought by the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025, but unfortunately missed out due to injury. Therefore the age gap between the youngest and oldest player in Asia Cup 2025 is 24 years. Afghanistan also have the youngest captain in the form of Rashid Khan who is just 26 years old now.

UAE's Ethan D'Souza is also 19 years old, but the batter is 14 days older than Allah Ghazanfar. There are other youngsters as well who are in their early 20s in many squads, and many of them would be hoping that they make the most of this opportunity.
