Pakistan all-rounder Aamir Jamal got a significant boost as he holds a valid NOC from the PCB to play in the BPL 2025-26. The decision clears the way for Jamal to feature for Chattogram Royals in the 12th edition of the tournament.
The 29-year-old is all set to link up with a Chattogram side that has made a steady start to the season.
After two matches, the Royals sit third on the points table, having registered one win and one loss, with a healthy net run rate of 0.729.
Aamir Jamal set to feature in BPL 2025-26
This will be Aamir Jamal’s third straight season in the BPL. He first appeared in the league with the Comilla Victorians, where he impressed by taking six wickets in three matches.
The following season, he turned out for the Khulna Tigers, picking up one wicket in two games.
Apart from being in BPL, Jamal has developed quite a reputation in T20 leagues around that region. He has played three seasons of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), representing Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.
In 21 PSL matches, the right-arm pacer has taken 19 wickets while also contributing with the bat lower down the order. He has also had a brief stint in the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
At the international level, Aamir Jamal has slowly carved out a place for himself across formats. He has featured in six T20Is for Pakistan, scoring 88 runs and taking two wickets. In ODIs, he has played three matches, claiming three wickets.
However, it is in Test cricket where Jamal has truly caught the eye. In just eight Tests, he has taken 21 wickets and scored 352 runs, including two half-centuries.
How many Pakistan players are playing in BPL 2025-26?
The BPL 2025-26 kicked off on December 26 with six teams and four new franchises, marking a refreshed era for the tournament.
Pakistani cricketers to feature across squads are names like Saim Ayub, Mohammad Amir, Sahibzada Farhan, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Nawaz, Ihsanullah and Faheem Ashraf.
To add to this, Aamir Jamal will also join the league soon, thus extending the overseas presence in the league.
