The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is just around the corner as the competition returns for the first time since 2017. Eight teams will come up against each other in the 19-day tournament which is scheduled to kick-off from Wednesday, February 19 with

Host Pakistan and New Zealand will be playing the curtain raiser in Karachi as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) prepares to leave no stone unturned in what will be the first ICC event in the country in three decades.

The prestigious 50-over competition is coming back after a eight-year long halt and will feature many players who will be playing the tournament for the first time or are eyeing their maiden Champions Trophy title.

However, among the total of 120 names who are going to play in Champions Trophy 2025, only six players are there who have won the tournament in the past. Hence, let's go through the list of these six players who have already won the Champions Trophy previously and will be eyeing to lift it for the second time this year.

Rohit Sharma has taken part in this competition in the last two editions and was part of the Indian side which lifted the 2013 title. It was a career changing tournament for Rohit when the then India captain MS Dhoni pushed him to open the innings and rest we all know is history.

Faheem Ashraf was part of Champions Trophy 2017 when Pakistan lifted their maiden title by defeating arch-rivals India in the final. Yes, Faheem looks like a surprising name in the list but the pace-bowling all-rounder did play one match in the last edition against Sri Lanka which was also his ODI debut.

Coming to the 2025 edition, PCB has included Faheem in the 15-member squad which makes it a second Champions Trophy appearance for the all-rounder as the men in green prepare for what can be a special upcoming three weeks for the team and its fans.

Babar Azam was one of the rising stars of Pakistan cricket team when the side lifted its maiden Champions Trophy title back in 2017. Since then, a lot of things have changed for the ace batter as Babar has become a renowned name in world cricket.

Ahead of what will be his second Champions Trophy edition, Babar will be eyeing to bring his ‘A’ game and light up Pakistan with happiness and joy. He will be playing a key role for Pakistan in its title defense as Mohammad Rizwan and co seeks back to back Champions Trophy titles in a row.

Fakhar Zaman was one of the main architects of Pakistan's triumph in 2017. The explosive opener tore apart the Indian bowling in the final as he scored a magnificent century which turned the game on its head.

As the defending champions aim to make it two titles in a row, the southpaw is going to be a key player for Pakistan in this competition. Coming into this tournament, Fakhar has been in terrific form as he looked at his aggressive best in the recently concluded Tri-Nation series.

Ravindra Jadeja has been an important part of the Indian team in all-formats in the last decade or so. He was part of the MS Dhoni-led side which lifted the Champions Trophy 2013 title, finishing the tournament as highest wicket-taker and was also the player of the match in the Final against England at the Edgbaston.

The Saurashtra-born cricketer was also part of the 2017 edition and the all-rounder has a bitter-sweet memory from the Final against Pakistan. Ahead of his third edition, Jadeja will be eyeing to win it for the second time as team India set to begin their campaign against Bangladesh in Dubai.

Virat Kohli made his Champions Trophy debut back in 2009 and went on to win the tournament in 2013 in England and Wales. Kohli played a key role in India clinching the title as the ace batter scored a crucial 43 runs to take India to a respectable total in the final.

Coming to what will be Kohli's fourth Champions Trophy appearance, the veteran Indian cricketer will be hoping to sustain his good record in the tournament where has a scintillating average of 88.2 in a total of 12 innings, scoring 529 runs and get his hands on the prestigious trophy one final time this year.
