The much anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is just around the corner as it is scheduled to take place from February 19 with defending champions Pakistan taking on New Zealand in the first match in Karachi.
The 8-team tournament is making its grand return in the cricket calendar for the first time since 2017 and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) alongside International Cricket Council (ICC) are trying to leave no stone unturned, making it a blockbuster of an event for fans.
The several stakeholders including the broadcasters are trying their best to offer a never-seen-before experience to the fans who will be cheering for their favourite teams from their home.
Particularly in India, the newly merged JioStar, who has the broadcasting rights of the ninth edition of the Champions Trophy, will ensure a smooth streaming experience for the fans around the country.
Additionally, an ICC competition will be streamed live across 16 feeds, including nine different languages for the first time ever on a digital platform. Yes, the Champions Trophy commentary in JioHotstar will be done in 9 different Languages i.e. English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Moreover, the live streaming will be accompanied by four multi-cam feeds and their vertical feed (Max View), innovated in hand with ICC will also be available in Hindi and English feeds. There will also be an Indian Sign Language feed and Audio descriptive Commentary, ensuring the persons with disabilities also enjoy the ODI mega-event.
On Television, JioStar will provide Champions Trophy 2025 coverage in five different languages - English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada across Star Sports and Sports 18 channels.
