After Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals on Thursday, May 22 to become the fourth team in IPL 2025 to qualify for playoffs. Now all four teams have been decided for the playoffs as RCB, GT, MI, and Punjab Kings will battle it out for the ultimate trophy.

Meanwhile, this article will shed light on Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are eyeing their first trophy of the season and let's look at what should the Rajat Patidar-led side do to finish in top 2 of the league to directly play qualifier 1 scheduled to take place on May 29 at the Mullanpur Stadium.

How Can RCB Finish In Top 2 Of Table?

Scenario One

It is worth noting that RCB are placed 2nd on the table with 17 points in 12 matches. The Challengers still have two matches left and the first scenario is very clear which is to win both of their games and finish in top 2 with 21 points to their name. RCB will play against SRH on May 23, while they lock horns against LSG on May 27.

In this scenario, RCB wouldn't have to rely on other results to see them qualify for qualifier 1.

Scenario Two

However, if RCB go onto lose one of their matches, then the situation gets tricky for them. It is worth noting that MI and PBKS will face each other and a win for any side would see them go above RCB if the Rajat Patidar-led side lose against SRH.

Thus, RCB need to win one of their matches against SRH and LSG and also hope that DC defeat PBKS in their last group stage match if MI beat PBKS and for GT to lose both of their upcoming matches.

However, if RCB fail to win both of their upcoming matches, then they can't finish in top 2 of the table.
