In a significant development, India's star keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has debunked a fake news being spread against him on social media that LSG is all set to release him from the squad for IPL 2026. Notably, he hit back at a journalist, who started the rumour mills and accused him of spreading news.

The saga started with journalist Vaibhav Bhola who took to twitter and remarked that LSG are all set to release Pant from the squad owing to his poor string of runs. Meanwhile, Pant was quick to debunk the news and remarked that journalists should be responsible in their reporting.

"I understand fake News gives more traction To content but let’s not built everything around it . Little sense and credible news will help more rather making fake news with agenda . Thanks have a good day . Let’s be responsible and sensible what we put out on social media," Pant tweeted. 

Rishabh Pant Put A Horrendous Show In IPL 2025

Rishabh Pant has faced a lot of flak for his performance in IPL 2025 as the LSG captain has feel a failure with the bat in the ongoing season. It is worth noting that Pant has scored just 135 runs in 12 innings and scored just a solitary fifty. The southpaw is under the criticism for his performance and indeed there were rumours that LSG are looking to not retain him for the next season or at least looking for a new captain.
