On Thursday, May 22, Royal Challengers Bengaluru announced the replacement for Jacob Bethell, who is set to leave India for international duty and won't play in the play-offs. It is worth noting that New Zealand star batter Tim Seifert is all set to join the three-times finalists.
RCB took to social media platforms where they announced the replacement and now the fans are curious as to when will Seifert join the Rajat Patidar-led side. Thus, this article will shed light on when will Seifert join RCB.
When Will Tim Seifert Join RCB?
According to the rules set by the IPL, the replacements for overseas players, who won't be available for the playoffs will be eligible to join the squad from May 24. However, a delay in arrival is expected for Tim Seifert as the New Zealand star is currently featuring in the PSL.
Notably, Seifert plays for Karachi Kings and the PSL side qualified for the play-offs. The Kings will next play on May 22, which is the eliminator. If the Kings crash out of the tournament, then Seifert will return to India on time and join the camp on May 24.
However, if the Kings keep on doing well and qualify for the finals, then he will play the final against Quetta Gladiators on May 25 and will return to India only after that. It is worth noting that RCB play their last IPL group stage match on May 27 against LSG and there is a chance that Seifert might miss that if the Kings qualify for the finals.
