All the ten teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) have invested heavily in the mega auction and built strong squads for the upcoming season. One team which hogged the limelight during the auction day was the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

The team had the second largest purse in the auction, but eyebrows were raised when they didn't go after the big names, and instead built an all-round team which might give them fruitful reward in the upcoming season.

However, with just a few months left for the IPL 2025, there are glaring concerns that the team faces now. From key players' woeful form to injury worries, the team is sweating hard at the moment. Here are 3 major concerns that RCB faces ahead of the upcoming season.

3) Virat Kohli's woeful form

Virat Kohli has been in woeful form in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Barring a century in the first Test match at Perth, "King Kohli" has looked a pale shadow of his former self and has been out repeatedly on the deliveries pitched outside the off.

Barring a 100 in Perth, his next best Test score in the series is 36, and his weakness outside the off stump has been exploited brilliantly by the Aussie pacers. Kohli is RCB's most important player and if he is out of form heading into the next IPL season, the team's balance won't be the same.

2) Hazlewood's injury blow

Josh Hazlewood suffered from a calf injury during the Gabba Test vs India, and was ruled out of the entire BGT. There is no timeline on his return back to cricket, however, as per reports, the newest RCB star will be back before the season commences.

But the big question will arise - will he be fit enough to deliver the goods? Will the calf injury affect his game during the IPL season?. The team invested 12.50 crore and will want him to play the entire season as they hope to win their maiden IPL title.

1) Patchy form of Krunal Pandya

Another player RCB heavily invested was Krunal Pandya. The former LSG player, had a patchy form in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). His highest score was just 30, and had multiple scores in the single digit. His form with the ball also wasn;'t promising, but at-least he was relatively economical.

Krunal will most probably bat at number 7, but his finishing power was missing in SMAT. RCB will hope that he finds his mojo back during the IPL season which commences in March 2025.
