Babar Azam disappointed [Souce: @CallMeJer_y/X.Com]
Babar Azam scored a Test fifty after 733 days, but that joy was short-lived as the former skipper played a reckless shot and was dismissed after getting set for a big score. The South African side devised a perfect field for Babar and the batter fell in the trap.
Babar failed to deliver in the first innings and was dismissed for a single-digit score, however, the star batter, who was making his Test comeback made it memorable by playing a crucial knock in the second innings.
The Pakistan side lost three early wickets and needed someone to solidify the innings. Babar stepped in and alongside Saud Shakeel started the repair work. He played some gorgeous shots and looked in ominous touch as after two years, the elegant batter scored a fifty-plus score in Tests.
However, disaster struck as Marco Jansen deliberately bowled it short and wide and Babar slashed hard at it. There was a fielder at deep cover for the shot as he took a simple catch to end Babar's knock. The former captain was dismissed for exact 50 and looked disappointed with his shot selection as he hanged his head down while walking back.
Pakistan lose control as Jansen grabs a fifer
From 153/3, Pakistan have lost 3 quick wickets and have suddenly lost 6 as the visitors look in trouble at the Centurion.
The visiting team looked in cruise control when Babar was batting, but once he departed, Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman followed him back to the pavilion as Jansen, the star bowler picked up a five-wicket haul to rattle the Pakistan team's ambition.
