All eyes will be on Virat Kohli as India take on Australia in the first Test match at Perth on November 22. With key players missing due to injuries and personal reasons, Kohli's responsibility has doubled as he is the most experienced batter in the Indian side.

The former India Test captain has a stellar record, Down Under. He enjoys his battle against the Australian bowlers and his track record speaks for itself.

Kohli has 6 Test hundreds on Australian shores and has played some tough innings under difficult circumstances. So much so, that the Australian bowlers will need to keep an eye on him, despite the fact that Kohli is out of form at the moment.

With a riveting Test series around the corner, Australia have already designed their plans to stop Kohli from scoring truckloads of runs.

Try and get that outside-edge from Kohli's bat

A couple of days ago, former Australian keeper, Ian Healy suggested that Australia should target the region outside the off. Reports state that their bowlers liked the theory and will try and push Kohli to edge one through the slips.

Kohli, is generally a front-foot player and hardly plays cut or punch which puts added pressure on him to deliver the runs with his trademark cover drive. Now, while it has given him considerable success, the same shot has led to so many failures as well.

Pepper him with body line deliveries

As stated, Kohli loves to transfer the weight on the front-foot and it leads to his dismissal. Hence, the Australian team will try and surprise him with the odd short-pitched ball. The Optus Stadium in Perth will have considerable bounce to trouble the batters and the home team could target his rib-cage area, which could surprise the Indian superstar.

While trying to score few runs, Kohli could mishit a pull shot and the Australians will try and attempt the same.
