On the one-year anniversary of India's 2023 ODI World Cup final loss against Australia, fans on the internet trolled several players, including Kuldeep Yadav, for their poor performance. However, Yadav reached a breaking point when a troll abused him and hit back with a cheeky yet powerful reply.

India lost the 2023 ODI World Cup to Australia on 19th November. In a near-perfect tournament, the men in blue reached the finals without bearing a loss. However, 19th November 2023 turned out to be a fateful night as India went down in a one-sided contest.

Kuldeep Yadav, meanwhile, disappointed in his 10-over spell as he failed to fetch a wicket and leaked as many as 56 runs. Hence, he was amongst the many players trolled on the one-year anniversary of the heartbreaking final.

Kuldeep Yadav posts angry reply to troll

However, a few fans crossed the line by using foul language, which didn't sit right with Kuldeep Yadav. He took to 'X' to reply to a user who abused him. In a cheeky reply, Kuldeep asked the troll to share in detail what grudge he holds against him. He even asked if the troll was paid to write such tweets against him.

Kuldeep's reaction shows the immense frustration one feels with being blamed for a team collective loss, despite his outstanding contribution to the tournament. Fans cross lines in the rush of emotions or anger, which is certainly not acceptable

The 2023 ODI World Cup final was nothing short of a horror movie. But perhaps it's time for the fans and players to move on.

Kuldeep dropped from BGT series

In a surprising exclusion, Kuldeep Yadav was dropped from India's 18 member squad for the upcoming 5-game Tests series against Australia. However, after much uproar, BCCI clarified that the leg spinner was suffering from a chronic groin injury which needs immediate attention. He will spend time at BCCI's Centre of excellence to ensure full recovery in time for future events. Instead of Kuldeep, Washington Sundar got the ticket alongside Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
