Gill Smashes A Century As Kohli, Rohit Show Good Form In The Intra-Squad Game Ahead Of SA Tests

The Indian team is all set to face the Proteas in the Boxing Day Test and it's just a matter of few days before we finally get to see Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back in action. The Rohit Sharma-led group have begun their preparations with an intra-squad Test game for the two-match Test series as they will start their World Test Championship cycle 2023-25. 

Team India may have won Test matches on South African soil but they are yet to win a Test series in South Africa, which is the only country where the Indian team haven't won a Test series. The batting lineup, which includes Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, and KL Rahul, is capable of scoring runs in any situation, so this team have a strong chance of winning a Test series in South Africa. 

Before the Test series, team India are playing an intra-squad practice game and it has been reported that the Indian batters were in good touch ahead of the first game.

Over 40 players travelled to South Africa for an all-format tour. The India A team has also travelled for the practice games. While the first day of the intra-squad Test was washed away because of rain, the Indian team made the most of day two as Gill, Yashasvi, Rohit, and Kohli, all of them had a go with the bat and were in sound touch. 

With Jasprit Bumrah's return to the squad, the Indian team looks more dangerous and will be on the road to win their first-ever series in and against South Africa.
