RCB legend Virat Kohli attained a significant record when he took field against LSG in match number 15 of the IPL 2024 season.

The match marked his 100th T20 appearance at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, thus making him the first Indian cricketer to play 100 or more T20 matches at a single venue.

Virat Kohli, who made his 20-overs debut back in April 2007 for Delhi, has attained a significant landmark of playing 100 T20 matches at a single venue. The cricketer achieved the feat through his IPL home ground, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, when he took field against LSG in match number 15 of the IPL 2024 season on April 2.

Surpassing the likes of Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni, the 35-year-old became the first Indian cricketer to feature in 100 or more matches at a single venue. Here is a list of Indian players with most T20 matches at a particular ground:

• Virat Kohli - 100* matches at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
• Rohit Sharma - 80 matches at Wankhede Stadium
• MS Dhoni - 69 matches at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium

Notably, Virat Kohli has played 85 of those matches for the RCB franchise in IPL. The aforementioned figure also makes him the most-capped IPL player at a single venue. Kohli has also represented the Indian cricket team in Bengaluru for six T20 international matches.

Overall, the iconic Bengaluru stadium has staged more than a quarter of Virat Kohli’s illustrious 380-match professional T20 career.
