April 2nd 2024 marks the 13th anniversary of the recent ICC World Cup title that the Indian team lifted. India lifted the title at Wankhede Stadium against Sri Lanka and no fan would forget the sight which is currently played on the television screen multiple times.

On the 13th anniversary of the World Cup win, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Singh posted a photo of MS Dhoni holding the title as well as receiving the award from the President of India.

April 2nd, 2011 still remains one of the most memorable dates for Indian cricket fans as the fans have never tasted an ICC title in 11 years and a World Cup in 13 years despite coming close on multiple occasions.

What are the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup winners doing right now?

Post the World Cup 2011, few legendary players retired whereas a few players went on to make a mark on the international stage like Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

Amongst the 15 players who featured in the title-winning campaign, only two (Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin) players continue to play the highest level of cricket whereas a few players even completed their coach stint.

Indian Cricket Team will look to end the ICC trophy drought when they start their campaign in the United States of America and the Caribbean Islands in June 2024.

It remains interesting to see which players will be picked by the Board for Cricket Control in India post the performance of players in the ongoing campaign of the Indian Premier League.
