Rohit Sharma caught up with his former Mumbai Indians colleague Harbhajan Singh prior to his latest IPL 2024 outing against Rajasthan Royals.

Turning up for his side at the Wankhede Stadium in their first home game of the season, the ex-Mumbai Indians captain awkwardly hugged and lifted Harbhajan Singh after the latter had offered a handshake.

Remarkably, Harbhajan was part of Mumbai Indians’ IPL-winning unit on three occasions, all under the leadership of Sharma between the years 2013 and 2017.

Prior to match number 14 of the IPL 2024 season between Rajasthan Royals and hosts Mumbai Indians, commentator Harbhajan approached his ex-colleague with a friendly handshake. Sharma, however hugged and lifted the legendary Indian off-spinner before greeting Navjot Singh Sidhu and Mohammad Kaif.

On the cricketing front, Rohit Sharma was accounted by Rajasthan Royals new-ball speedster Trent Boult off the first ball of his innings. His dismissal in the opening over led to a colossal top-order collapse, before captain Hardik Pandya and number five Tilak Varma steered their side to some respectability with crucial 30s.

Mumbai Indians, in search of their first win of the IPL 2024 season, eventually gathered a measly 125 by the completion of their 20 overs.
