Shikhar Dhawan To Drop Rabada? Punjab Kings' Probable XI For IPL 2024 Match vs RCB

The IPL 2024 caravan has reached Bengaluru and in the 6th game of the season, we have Royal Challengers Bengaluru up against Punjab Kings. The Faf du Plessis-led RCB were outplayed in the curtain raiser of the season by CSK while Punjab Kings started off their campaign with a comfortable win at the new home in Mullanpur.

Shikhar Dhawan and company will now be itching to spoil RCB's party at Chinnaswamy and let's see what changes they can make into their playing XI for the all-important game against RCB.

Punjab Kings were quite good both with the bat and ball in their first game and have quality in their arsenal all through. All the bowlers were on the mark for the most part of the game, and though Harshal Patel went for plenty in the last over, he was brilliant in his first three overs.

Sam Curran bowled only one over but he delivered with the bat and if there is one overseas player or bowler who can be replaced it is Kagiso Rabada. There is Nathan Ellis waiting in the wings, who is great at the death as well and he can come in for Rabada. However, we can expect Punjab Kings to persist with Rabada given his world-class skills and if he gets it right, he is a a genuine match-winner.

On the batting front, Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh got starts but failed to convert them while Bairstow was out unluckily at the non-striker's end. The big positive for them was the performance of the duo of Sam Curran and Livingstone and we can expect Punjab Kings to persist with the same combination that won them the match against Delhi Capitals.
