The 8th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 will see Quetta Gladiators go head-to-head against Islamabad United on Thursday, February 22, at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Quetta Gladiators are unbeatable so far in the tournament, winning both matches convincingly. They took down the defending champions, Lahore Qalandars, by five wickets in their latest match, surely giving them a confidence boost.

The hero of the match was 22-year-old Khawaja Nafay, who mercilessly attacked the Lahore bowlers, blasting an unbeaten 60 runs off 31 balls, featuring four boundaries and three colossal sixes.

Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel laid the foundation for the chase with a strong 69-run partnership, both displaying excellent form. With such a promising start, it's likely that the top three will hold onto their spots for the upcoming match.

Captain Rilee Rossouw hasn't found his rhythm yet in the two matches he's played, but with his wealth of experience, it's only a matter of time before he starts making significant contributions with the bat.

Sarfaraz Ahmed has also failed to make an impact with the bat so far, but respecting his reputation, he is likely to get some more opportunities in the team.

Their bowling arsenal has been reliable thus far, with nearly all of their bowlers making valuable contributions by taking wickets, which has been instrumental in the team's success.

Mohammad Amir will lead the pace attack, with Mohammad Wasim Junior, and Mohammad Hasnain complimenting him. Akeal Hosein, and Abrar Ahmed will lead the spin duties for the Gladiators.
