In the ongoing fifth Test match between India and England in Dharamsala, Rohit Sharma marked his name in cricket history.

The 36-year-old displayed exemplary batting dominance, becoming the first Indian player to smash 50 sixes in the World Test Championship (WTC). His remarkable feat came when he hammered a six off Mark Wood in the fourth over of India's innings.

Rohit's achievement adds another feather to his illustrious cap, solidifying his position as one of India's finest cricketers. His aggressive batting style and ability to dominate the opposition bowlers have made him a force to reckon with in the cricketing world.

In addition to his impressive WTC six-hitting record, Rohit Sharma is on the brink of making cricket history by becoming the first player to reach 600 international sixes, needing just four more to achieve this milestone.

With already leading the charts in international cricket for most sixes, Rohit's feat is unmatched, with England's Jos Buttler trailing far behind at 326 sixes.

During the innings, Rohit Sharma also reached another significant milestone by completing 1000 runs in Test cricket as the Indian captain.

Meanwhile, Captain Rohit Sharma has every reason to be happy with his bowlers, as they efficiently bowled out England for 218 runs in the first innings. Opting to bat first, England had hoped for a formidable total, but Kuldeep Yadav's five-wicket haul and Ashwin's four-wicket support shattered their batting lineup.

On the batting front, Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed with a blazing knock of 57 runs before being dismissed. India ended the day at 135/1, trailing England by 83 runs, setting the stage for an enthralling contest in the days to come.

While Rohit Sharma's milestone in the WTC garnered attention, Ben Stokes led the charts with 78 sixes. Nonetheless, Rohit's achievement places him second on the list.
