Despite not being involved in the current five-match Test series between India and England, Virat Kohli's name is practically always mentioned whenever a milestone involving batsmen occurs because of his incredible red-ball cricket accomplishments.

Similarly, it happened on Thursday during Day 1 of the fifth and final Test match between India and England, taking place in Dharamsala. It was Rohit Sharma, his long-time batsman and India's stalwart, who made the list involving all-time greats around the world.

Rohit has been in sublime form in Dharamsala, and he has now scored more than 1000 runs across all formats as a skipper. The ones who have achieved the feat are only a few: Kohli, MS Dhoni, Babar Azam, Faf du Plessis, and Kane Williamson.

Indians dominate the list, and Rohit now joins Dhoni and Kohli as three of the country's most successful captains.

Meanwhile, India are in control against England after bowling the visitors out for 218 in the first innings. They have reached 79/0, with Rohit batting on 42, whereas Yashasvi Jaiswal is batting on 37*.  Having already 3-1 up in the series, the hosts are in a commanding position to finish things off in style.
