Even in the years that followed, when injuries or form dips occasionally slowed him down, Rohit Sharma never faded into the background. 

In 2023, he was also the captain and returned with 1255 runs in 27 matches. In 2025, he again crossed the 500-run mark, adding more centuries and match-winning knocks, even as new stars entered the scene.
