India A and Australia A are set to play their second unofficial Test match of a two-game series at Melbourne Cricket Stadium on Thursday, November 7. India A will be looking to make a comeback after losing the first game, while Australia A will try to secure a series win with another victory.

In the previous match held at Mackay Stadium, India A lost by seven wickets. Australia A, led by Captain Nathan McSweeney and supported by Beau Webster, successfully chased down a target of 224 runs to win.

With Ruturaj Gaikwad as captain, India A is eager to improve their performance as they prepare for a challenging five-Test series ahead. To strengthen the team, India A may bring in some fresh players. Wicketkeeper KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel have joined the squad to gain experience in match conditions. KL Rahul might replace Baba Indrajith, who hasn’t met performance expectations so far, allowing Rahul to get some practice on Australian pitches.

Ishan Kishan To Be Rested By India A

Additionally, Ishan Kishan might sit out this game, giving Dhruv Jurel the chance to take over as wicketkeeper, which will be valuable practice for him ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Since Ishan Kishan isn’t part of India’s main tour squad for Australia, he is expected to be benched for this game.

These adjustments are likely the only changes, with the rest of the India A team expected to stay the same.
