The 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a thrilling spectacle, featuring over 70 games across more than 60 days. The showdown is set between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), promising an intense clash for the coveted trophy on May 26, 2024.

KKR's Journey So Far

KKR are clear favourites to win the title, owing to their current form and the depth and versatility of their squad, which allows them to adapt well to the conditions at Chepauk. 

Although Phil Salt's departure initially disrupted the opening order balance, Rahmanullah Gurbaz has proven to be a capable replacement, combining effectively with the in-form Sunil Narine for a solid opening partnership.

The middle-order batting has been anchored by Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer, who have excelled in both maintaining momentum and finishing innings strongly. 

The fact that Andre Russell and Rinku Singh have not had much to do with the bat this season speaks to the efficiency and dependability of KKR's top and middle-order batsmen.

With the ball, KKR's attack is spearheaded by Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Mitchell Starc, all in excellent form. Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora have also contributed significantly by taking wickets or maintaining tight bowling, easing the pressure on the primary bowlers.
