On Monday, it was announced that Phil Salt, who replaced Jason Roy ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, would be leaving after the Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) match against Gujarat Titans (GT).

The 27-year-old wicketkeeper came in and fitted in like a glove in the Knight Riders set-up, giving them fantastic starts upfront alongside Sunil Narine game after game as they booked their spot in the first qualifier which will be played in Ahmedabad on May 21.

Phil Salt played 12 games of the ongoing season and scored 435 runs at a massive strike rate of 182.01 and an average of 39.55 with four fifties to his name. He also grabbed 12 catches with the wicketkeeping gloves on.

As the explosive batter leaves the KKR camp ahead of the crucial playoffs, the fans of the purple and gold franchise have poured immense love for him with a wish to see the batter play again next year after the mega-auction.
