Marnus Labuschagne, the Australian star is known for his elegance and class in Test format, however, in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) clash, he showed his versatility and proved his doubters wrong with a breath-taking knock in the clash Vs Hobart Hurricanes. Playing for the Brisbane Heat, Labuschagne showed his class and played some delightful strokes.
Heat batted first and Usman Khawaja gave a fiery start to the side as the opener smacked 23 off 9 balls and laid the foundation for the other baters. Labuschagne, another of Khawaja's national teammate, came out to bat at number 3, and played arguably his best T20 innings as he went rampage and took the attack to the opposition.
Labuschagne replicates Suryakumar Yadav's shot
The star batter looked in ominous touch and in the innings of 77 off 44 balls, he hammered 8 fours and 2 sixes, however the highlight was the scoop shot he played against Riley Meredith.
Meredith bowled a length ball on the stumps and Marnus Labuschagne was ready with the shot. He channeled his inner Suryakumar Yadav and played one of the most outrageous scoop shot as the ball went over the ropes.
The shot was a trademark Suryakumar 360 degree shot which the Indian superstar executes to perfection.
The Heat batter missed out on a deserving century, but he played a blinder to help the side cross 200. Apart from Labuschagne, Matt Renshaw scored a gritty 40 off 26 and Tom Alsop finished off the innings with a quick-fire 39 off 27 balls as the team ended with 201/6 in 20 overs.
