India’s perfect T20 World Cup 2024 journey keeps on going as they set to take on Bangladesh on Saturday (June 22) in their second Super 8 fixture of the ongoing edition, which is scheduled to take place at Antigua’s Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Led by Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue have excelled across all departments in this edition. No wonder they have been enjoying wins after wins whenever they are in action, and the focus will be the same when they face Shakib Al Hasan-starred Bangladesh in North Sound.

However, there is a minor concern in India’s unit: their two stalwarts, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, are yet to be at full flow. While Kohli and Rohit decided to open the innings for the first time in T20 World Cups before the tournament began, the move seems to be not working at all.

Thankfully, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya have been stepping up in their woes, while the bowlers, led by ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah, have been firing in tough situations in order to get the job done.

What can India do? It’s very simple. Considering the semi-finals are coming, and you can’t afford to make any tactical blunder there, it should be the right time to make a bold move rather than being stubborn.

India should bring back Yashasvi Jaiswal, who can give a lefty-righty combination at the top of the order while opening alongside Rohit. Kohli should bat at his preferred No. 3, where he has seen all the success in T20Is over the tournament’s history and established himself as the very best of the modern era.

To make it happen, Shivam Dube, who has not been living up to his lofty expectations, should make his way, while there is no need for the rest to be dropped.

Will India take the move which is the need of the hour? Well, we shall find it out soon.
