Arshdeep Singh gets Rashid Khan's wicket (X.com)
Rashid Khan had to pull off a miracle with the bat in hand on Thursday when Afghanistan came to chase a 182 against Rohit Sharma-led India in the Super 8 encounter of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Kensington Oval.
However, he failed to do much with the bat, scoring two off six balls before Arshdeep Singh, India’s fiery left-arm quick, ended his stay during the 18th over of Afghanistan’s innings.
Ravindra Jadeja, who was placed at deep third, made no mistake while taking a simple catch just when Rashid attempted to slash Arshdeep in a helicopter style.
It was perfectly angled across delivery by Arshdeep, and Rashid, who had a big task to complete, had to swing hard. In the process, his bat swung in air after the shot, the ball could not get to there where he wanted.
