The Afghanistan cricket team will likely play a ‘home’ series of three ODIs and three T20I matches against Bangladesh in Noida, India. As reported by the TOI, the BCCI officials have already granted hosting rights to the ACB at Noida for Afghanistan’s impending white-ball fixtures.

The Afghanistan team has previously hosted home series at Greater Noida as well as in Dehradun. As of now, Afghanistan’s current home ground is the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE.

Earlier this year, Afghanistan toured India to play a three-match away T20I series against the hosts. Turning up at venues like Mohali, Indore and Bengaluru between January 11 and January 17; the Ibrahim Zadran-led side lost their three-match rubber by a 0-3 margin.

Currently in the West Indies for the 2024 T20 World Cup, Afghanistan team defeated Uganda, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea with emphatic margins to finish at number two on the Group C points table.

However, they lost their opening Super 8 match to India at Bridgetown on June 20 by 47 runs. The team, led by Rashid Khan, will now go up against Australia and Bangladesh on June 22 and June 24 respectively.
