Glenn Maxwell Takes The Biggest Pay Cut In IPL 2025 Auction
The Australian star did not have a great season in IPL 2024. He scored only 52 runs in 10 innings at an average of 5.78. This could be a reason that RCB did not bid for him or use the RTM for him.
However, the Punjab Kings stole this opportunity and snapped him up for a steal buy. The bidding war for Glenn Maxwell was between the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings. Ultimatley, Maxwell was sold for INR 4.2 Cr.
Notably, Glenn Maxwell was a part of the RCB in IPL 2024 for INR 11 Cr. Thus, Maxwell had taken a pay cut of INR 6.8 Cr. When seen in percentage it is about 62%. This is the biggest pay cut a player has taken in the IPL 2025 mega auction so far.
