Kolkata Knight Riders have completed their full squad for IPL 2025 and shocked the auction table with their strategy for Venkatesh Iyer. It is worth noting that KKR entered the event with just 51 crores in their kitty. However, they went all-out for Iyer, who has been one of their best players in last few seasons and bought him for 23.75 crores. 

Prior to the auction, KKR retained six players which were Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana, and Ramandeep Singh. It is worth noting that KKR spent 57 crores in their retentions, but according to IPL slab rules, they were left with 51 crores to spend in the auction.
