The Indian Premier League is the stage for the domestic players to showcase their talents at the highest level of the game and make a case for themselves to be a part of the international set up. India has reaped the benefits of the league as they have bred talents like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and many more in this league.

Much like the previous editions of the tournament, IPL 2025 has given India a few talents to explore in the near future. Finishing is one of the toughest and momentum defining roles in modern T20 cricket. While India have got talents in all the roles, here is a look at three finishers who could soon be a part of the national set-up.

3. Ayush Badoni

The young Indian batter has been one of the mainstays of the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. Ayush Badoni has scored 329 runs in 11 innings at an average of 32.90 and a strike rate of 148.19. Besides, the numbers the impressive thing has been the fact that he has carried the batting of the Lucknow Super Giants under pressure.

While power hitting is one of the main criteria to be a successful finisher, adapting oneself under pressure is also important. Badoni might not be the biggest power-hitter in the T20 circuit at present, he is one of those batters who can bat as per the situation and often power the team to a good total from pressure situations.

2. Shashank Singh

Shashank Singh was a revelation for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. The franchise trusted him and retained him for the 2025 season and he repaid the faith. In IPL 2025, Shashank Singh has scored 273 runs at an average of 68.25 and a strike rate of 151.66.

Shasank Singh has successfully shown both his sides of batting. He can bat as per the situation and also take on the bowlers towards the end of an innings. With the dynamism in his batting, Singh could be a valuable addition to the Indian set up for the T20Is.

1. Ashutosh Sharma

Ashutosh Sharma also made a name for himself during IPL 2024, where he successfully paired for some important partnerships with Shashank Singh. Although Punjab Kings released him after the tournament, the Delhi Capitals did not let the opportunity go and bought him.

In IPL 2025, ahead of the Mumbai Indians match, Ashutosh Sharma has played 8 innings and has scored 186 runs in them at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 167.56. One of the major qualities of Ashutosh that has been reflected is his ability bat under pressure.

Both for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 and Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025, Sharma has played some knocks where his team was down and under. This shows his ability to absorb pressure and maximise his stay in the middle. Given the batting he has displayed, Sharma could be a very advantageous addition to the Indian T20I squad.
