India

The bowlers were on fire for the Men in Blue as they restricted the hosts to just 230 runs. Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel were the pick of the bowlers for their two-wicket haul. 

In the batting, skipper Rohit Sharma looked in great touch as he scored his 56th ODI fifty. However, the middle-order failed to read the spin and lacked intent chasing a small target. 

KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer repeated the mistakes of the World Cup 2023 final, and it can prove costly and might lose a place in the playing XI. However, looks like Gautam Gambhir will give these players a long rope to prove themselves.
