Marcus Stoinis was dismissed by Boyce [Source: @BBL/X.Com]
Just when it looked like Marcus Stoinis will run away with the contest in the Big Bash League match 6 Vs Adelaide Strikers, leg-spinner, Cameron Boyce came out of the syllabus for the Aussie batter and knocked his stumps to snatch the momentum for his side.
Boyce, a traditional leg-spinner prefers to use the leg spinners to decimate his opponent, but for Stoinis, he came up with a different tactics and it worked wonders as the Aussie batter was dismissed for a 19-ball 27 at a crucial juncture of the match.
The wicket unfolded in the 6th over of the match when Marcus Stoinis was going hammer and tongs and was batting with aggression. The Adelaide skipper threw the dice to Boyce and Stoinis felt that the spinner will start off with his trademark leg-spin bowling and it would be easy to hit it with the spin.
However, Cameron Boyce was smart enough as he started off the over with a googly, which comes back into the right-hander. Stoinis went for the big shot and failed in the process as the stumps were castled by the street-smart bowler.
Maxwell joins Stoinis back in the hut
The two key players for Stars, Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell, both were back in the hut in the space of a few overs. Just like Stoinis, Maxwell started aggressively and became the player with the second-most sixes slammed in BBL history.
However, his joy was short-lived as the explosive batter went back to the pavilion for a score of 15 off 5 balls.
