Karachi Kings' speedster Hasan Ali may not have had the most fruitful outing with the ball in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday (February 28) against Islamabad United but the experienced bowler achieved a spectacular milestone next to his name.

Pakistan's veteran right-arm pacer, who ended with disappointing figures of 1/42 off his 3.3 overs in a comprehensive defeat versus the Islamabad franchise, bagged a terrific milestone in his PSL career, becoming only the second bowler in the league's history to achieve 100 wickets.

Hasan took the significant feat home when he dismissed United's explosive and well-set opening batter, Alex Hales, after the former England opener's extravagant 47 off 35 balls during the second half of the interesting PSL 2024 encounter at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Hasan Ali Achieves Eye-Catching PSL Milestone

The 29-year-old skiddy pacer is now only second from the top in the list of highest wicket-takers in Pakistan's premier domestic T20 competition since the league's inception back in 2016.

Over the past nine editions, Hasan has been one go-to fast-bowlers of the PSL, having previously represented United and Peshawar Zalmi before moving base to the Karachi franchise.

He now boasts of 100 wickets in 76 PSL matches at a terrific average of 23.05 and a decent economy rate of 8.05, as a bowler often tasked with the death-overs responsibilities. Hasan is pipped to the top slot by former Pakistan and Zalmi speedster Wahab Riaz, who finished his PSL career with 113 scalps at 7.79 runs an over.

Behind Hasan at the third spot is Pakistan's rising young modern-day ace and Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi with 98 scalps from 68 PSL games, followed by United skipper Shadab Khan (83 wickets) and United allrounder Faheem Ashraf (72 wickets) at fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
