The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 draft is just around the corner as teams will go hard to get their desired players to bolster their squad. The draft will allow the PSL franchises to fill in the loopholes and further strengthen the team as the season approaches fast.

In the previous article, we talked about Peshawar Zalmi and the players they need to strengthen their side, and in this piece, we will talk about another popular team - Multan Sultans, led by Pakistan captain, Mohammad Rizwan.

The team has already tasted success in the PSL and will be gunning for another title as the draft approaches nearby. Ahead of the event, we look at 3 players the team should target to boost their chances of winning the league.

3) Chris Lynn

The Ex-Kolkata Knight Riders player, Chris Lynn is an explosive opener and should be the one to open alongside Mohammad Rizwan. Having the presnce of Lynn will allow Rizwan to bind his time as he settles in the middle.

Lynn can be the aggressor right from the first ball and the pitches in the PSL will help his style of batting. He can also bat at number 3, which allows flexibility to come in as the team looks for an explosive batter in the top-3.

2) Shakib Al Hasan

With Rizwan, Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed and David Willey in the ranks, the top-order and all-rounder spot is fixed. The Multan team needs a solid batter at number 5 or 6 and Shakib can fill in that void.

He can also chip in with 4 overs and that would be an added bonus for the Multan side. His batting exploits at number 6 would be useful and the team should go after a proven all-rounder like him.

1) Hasan Mahmud

The Bangladesh pacer came into prominence during the Test series Vs Pakistan and India. In both the series, he took 5-wicket hauls and was noticed for his impeccable control over lines and lengths.

The Multan team already has Chris Jordan as the foreign pacer, but he could be utilised towards the death overs. Someone like Mahmud can be the bowler who bowls at nagging lines and lengths to trouble the opposition batters. He generally goes under the radar and can be an X-factor for the side.
