It seems like there is a conspiracy going around to demean Virat Kohli on social media. As per theories circulating around, the celebrity tweets to support Rohit Sharma recently was all a part of the PR activity done by none other than, Kohli's former manager, Bunty Sajdeh.

For the last couple of days, a lot of celebrities are rallying behind Rohit Sharma and have come out in numbers to support the Indian captain after he opted out of the Sydney Test match. The Indian captain was going through a rough patch in the Border-Gavaskar Series and decided to rest for the 5th Test match in Sydney.

After this decision from Rohit, numerous Bollywood celebrities posted tweets in favour of Rohit, lauding the India skipper for his "selfless" decision to opt out and put the team above personal interest.

However, this didn't sit well with a lot of social media users who stated that this is all a part of the PR stunt to create a positive image for Rohit Sharma. Now, there is another theory, which suggest that this was a plan to indirectly demean Rohit's teammate, Virat Kohli.

How the paid PR by Kohli's manager is demeaning his image

In 2008, when Virat Kohli was a budding cricketer, he signed a deal with Bunty Sajdeh's PR company, Cornerstone and unofficially became his super agent, often helping in shaping Kohli's off-field career.

However, in 2023, Kohli parted ways with Bunty and the decision came as a surprise for many. Interestingly, Bunty is Ritika Sajdeh's first cousin (Rohit Sharma's wife) and she also runs Cornerstone alongside her cousin.


In 2020, Cornerstone formed a partnership with Karan Johar's Dharma Production and all those celebrities who tweeted about Rohit are a part of Cornerstone and have close relations with Dharma Productions. 

Almost all the celebrities who tweeted are in some way associated with Dharma and are indirectly showing how Rohit, who was in poor form dropped himself, but Kohli, who is going through a same journey continued to play the SCG Test match.
