Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be determined to secure their first win of the IPL 2025 season as they face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the next game. The match will be held on March 27 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad starting from 7.30 PM IST.

After a heartbreaking loss to Delhi Capitals in their opening game, LSG will be keen to bounce back against a high-flying SRH side that started their campaign with a commanding 44-run win over Rajasthan Royals.

LSG’s squad has been massively hit by injuries. Regardless, a key pacer is likely to return and make himself available for this impending high-voltage game.

Rishabh Pant Unlikely To Change Batting Lineup

Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh will continue as LSG’s opening pair. Markram had a disappointing start against DC, managing only 15 runs, but will be eager to make an impact against his former franchise, SRH. Marsh, on the other hand, was in sublime form, smashing 72 off 36 balls, and will be crucial to LSG’s top order once again.

In the middle order, Nicholas Pooran was the standout performer in LSG’s previous match, scoring a blistering 75 off 30 balls. Captain Rishabh Pant had a forgettable outing in his first game as LSG skipper, scoring a duck and missing a crucial stumping. Hence, he will definitely be desperate to make amends.

Ayush Badoni and veteran finisher David Miller wil bat in lower middle order. Miller’s unbeaten 27 played a vital role in LSG crossing 200-run mark in the last game. Moreover, all-rounders Shardul Thakur and Shahbaz Ahmed will aim to contribute with both bat and ball.

Avesh Khan Likely To Return For LSG

Meanwhile, the biggest positive for the upcoming fixture for LSG is the return of pacer Avesh Khan. He was nursing a right knee injury for a while and has been recently declared fit by the BCCI. He joined LSG camp this week and is likely to be available for the next game vs SRH.

If Avesh comes in, he will likely replace Prince Yadav who had a tough outing against DC, conceding 47 runs without picking up a wicket.

Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, along with Manimaran Siddharth and Digvesh Rathi will continue in the playing XI but must improve. Bishnoi, particularly, conceded 53 runs in the last game and as LSG’s lead spinner, he must step up.
