India did the impossible and snatched the victory against Bangladesh from an improbable situation in Kanpur. The first 2.5 days were abandoned due to rain and poor drainage system, however, India showed their class and authority and won the game when it was heading towards a clear draw.

The series victory had many heroes - R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, there were so many who delivered the goods in the two-match series. However, there were 3 players who couldn't perform according to the expectations set. In this article, we look at 3 players who flopped against Bangladesh (with ball or bat).

3) Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma delivered the goods with the captaincy, showcasing his impeccable command over the game. However, with the bat, he failed in both the Tests. In the second game at Kanpur, he showed the aggressive Rohit Sharma intent, but failed to convert it into a big score.

Similarly, he failed in both the innings of the Chennai Test as the skipper of the Indian side had a rare failure with the bat. As a captain, he deserves a 10/10, but as a batter, this was a disappointing outing from Rohit, who only scored 42 runs in 4 innings.

2) Virat Kohli

Just like Rohit, Kohli, too, had an average Test series with the bat. He was coming into this series after a lengthy break, but the former Test skipper couldn't get the desired runs. He was outstanding with the bat in the Kanpur Test, showcasing his aggressive side with a quick-fire 40s.

However, it was the Chennai Test where he disappointed, accumulating only 22 runs. In the first innings, Hasan Mahmud trapped him for 5 on the board, as he chased a sixth-stump line delivery. In the second innings, he was well-set on 17, but Mehidy Hasan Miraz trapped him lbw, and the right-handed batter came up with a disappointing outing.

1) Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj seems exhausted and had an average outing in both the Test matches. While the other bowlers shone brightly, including youngster, Akash Deep, Siraj failed to deliver the goods.

He just picked up 4 wickets in the 4 innings, and lacked the cutting-edge which was required from him. With the Border-Gavaskar series coming up, many are expecting India to give Siraj a rest, so that he gets charged up ahead of the all-important tour. Every single bowler delivered, barring Siraj, which is a cause of concern for Team India.
