New Zealand's commanding victory over Sri Lanka on Thursday has virtually knocked Pakistan out of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023's semi-finals race. While they remain in the hunt mathematically, it's next to impossible for those scenarios to play out in real life on the field.

Needless to say, Pakistani cricket is in major turmoil. Critics are tearing down the team's shortcomings piece by piece. The latest to join the mass is former Indian cricketer and popular commentator Aakash Chopra. He rubbed salt on Pakistan cricket fans' wounds by chipping in a "Qudrat Ka Nizam" reference.

"Qudrat ka Nizam" is a phrase used in Urdu, meaning divine intervention. The term is prominently used in Pakistan cricket's meme culture to explain their team's incredible resurgence from the dead. As Pakistan stood moments away from group-stage elimination in the ongoing CWC 2023, the meme fest made a comeback.

However, Aakash Chopra picked up a serious tone in his recent YouTube video while discussing Qudrat ka Nizam. He says that when a team fails, it's not just the players but the whole system that should be held responsible. That failure needs to be addressed.

Moreover, Chopra advised the Pakistan cricket team to move on from the obsession over Qudrat ka Nizam, as cricket, in reality, does not function on luck or divine intervention.

Chopra also wasn't happy with how Pakistan has been focusing on everything except fixing their own shortcomings. He further called out the discrepancies in the system, which have been a problematic pattern for many years.

"You threw your captain under the bus. The selection committee gets sacked. See, after a few days, the president will also change," Chopra said.

Lastly, he advised Pakistan cricketers and board to stop contemplating irrelevant things if they want to succeed in international cricket in the long run.
