India, once a fortress in Test cricket and conquerors of foreign soil, now finds itself struggling to even salvage a match at home. After a harsh defeat in the first Test match against South Africa, Guwahati has emerged as the new nightmare.

Since the beginning, the Protea bowlers have haunted the Indian batting lineup and sparked criticism. Adding to this, Virat Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli, took a sarcastic jab at head coach Gautam Gambhir.

There was a time when India was a fireball wrapped in whites; now they are looking forward just to save a match, being far away from dominance. As the storms are already on, Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas Kohli added more fuel into it. His sarcastic jab at unnecessary interference with the team grabbed attention. Fans are assuming it was pointing at Gautam Gambhir.

“There was a time that we played to win even in overseas conditions. Now we are playing to save the match. even in India..This is what happens when u try to boss around and change things unnecessary which were not broken,” he wrote on social media.

Chasing a colossal 549, India’s hopes take another hit as Jaiswal and KL Rahul fall early, leaving the team reeling at 27/2.
