Recently, Indian captain Rohit Sharma shared insights on the special bond he shares with wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant and stated how Pant is his go-to guy in a state of distress.

Rishabh Pant was on the peak of his prime when a near fatal car accident ruled him out for over a year. However, the keeper vowed to make the most of his second chance at life and toiled hard behind the scenes to make an inspiring comeback in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

While Pant missed a lot of time on the field, he didn't lose his bonds and connections with his teammates, including captain Rohit Sharma.

In a recent appearance on Club Prairie Fire YouTube channel, Rohit Sharma revealed that Rishabh Pant is one of the funniest guys he has ever come across. 

The captain added that whenever he is in a state of distress or wants to laugh, he straightway dials up Pant to lighten up his mood. 

Rohit went on to say that he felt extremely disappointed when Pant was forced out due to an unfortunate incident. But now that he is back, the Indian captain is relieved and cannot wait to witness Pant's hilarious moments behind the stumps.

"If anyone who makes me laugh, it's Pant - he is one crazy guy - I was so disappointed when he missed a lot of cricket because of the incident - I am so glad he is back, the stuff he does behind stumps & when I need to laugh, I call him," Rohit said on Club Prairie Fire.

That being said, Rishabh Pant is in line to return to the national squad in the upcoming T20 World Cup. 

His comeback in IPL has been received well, and the explosive batter is slowly settling back into his rhythm. It's only a matter of time before Pant leaves the fans mesmerised with his mind-blowing stroke-playing ability.
