'Everything Is Fake': Rohit Sharma Denies Meeting Agarkar, Dravid For T20 WC Selection Meeting

The fans and cricket enthusiasts are gearing up for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in June, which will jointly be hosted by the USA and West Indies after the end of the thrilling ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024)  

A few days ago, a leading Indian news daily recounted that Rohit sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid, head coach and Ajit Agarkar, BCCI chairman of selectors, had a two-hour-long meeting regarding the selection of the T20 World Cup Squad.  

Rohit Sharma denied the fact that was reported regarding any meeting that took place. 

He even disagreed with the fact that the primary discussion of the meeting was regarding the form and fitness of Hardik Pandya and his availability as an all-rounder and whether Virat Kohli will open the batting with Rohit.

Rohit Sharma's Clarification On Fake News Regarding Selection Meeting Of T20 World Cup

Rohit Sharma told Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist on the Club Prairie Fire podcast that he has not been part of any meeting regarding the selection of the T20 World Cup squad and he dismissed these reports as 'fake news'. 

The star batter also warned the public not to believe these fake and false statements until they are revealed by some prominent source. 

"I haven't met anyone. Ajit Agarkar is somewhere in Dubai playing golf and Rahul Dravid is actually watching his kids play in Bengaluru.nWe haven't met, to be honest. I think in today's day and age, unless you hear it from either myself or Rahul himself or Ajit himself or someone from BCCI coming and talking in front of the camera, everything is fake."Rohit told Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist. 

The much-awaited and highly anticipated T20 World Cup Squad for India will likely announced by the end of April. Team India will start their campaign against Ireland on June 5, 2024.
