'We Don't Deserve This..,' PAK Player Pens Heartbreaking Note After Asia Cup Exit

Pakistan's leg spinner Usama Mir breaks down on social media after Pakistan's exit from the Asia Cup on Thursday night. Sharing his thoughts, he urged fans to not be too hard on them. Pakistan's Asia Cup campaign came to a halt when they were beaten by the hosts Sri Lanka in the last ball thriller. It ended their dreams of reaching the final. 

Fortunately, Pakistan didn't match up to their expectation level after starting the tournament as the World No. 1 team. Nevertheless, in another rain-hit game, Pakistan failed to defend 252 runs as their bowlers looked ordinary in front of Lankan batters. 

After that heartbreaking loss, Pakistan's squad member Usama Mir took to Twitter (now X)  and expressed his disgust towards fans' support. 

Sharing the note, he thanked all their fans for their continuous support, but said it should be 'two way'. Given the example of Shadab Khan, he said if he performs well in next match he will be the greatest cricketer to come out from Pakistan. If he fails, then they will take him down to low pedestal where they question over his selection into the team. Usama feels fans should restrain themselves from coming to any conclusion after just one bad outing. They need to understand that cricketers give their 100% all the time but sometimes results don't go their way. He has called out fans for being 'reactionary' now-a-days.

Speaking about himself, Usama shared how he was hyped up leading into the national team. But post the Afghanistan series, he has been tagged as 'average bowler'. These comments from the fans take a toll on the cricketers as well. Everyone has gone through the hard yards and earned their place. Now, as a team Pakistan is going through some bad phase but they'll overcome it surely. He has asked the fans to keep them in prayers and cricketers will bring happiness and joy very soon.
