Shubman Gill is one of India's biggest superstar at the moment. At just 24 years of age, the talented batter has achieved significant things at the international level.

He has cemented his place in all three formats, and recently, was appointed India's vice-captain in white-ball formats for the Sri Lanka tour. The Indian team are currently based in Sri Lanka for a white-ball series, which commences on August 27.

Ahead of the T20Is, Shubman Gill discussed with RevSportz, and talked about the side's mindset after winning the T20 World Cup. He also gave a warning to the Sri Lankan team, stating Team India are world champions and will play like champions in the upcoming series.

"We are world champions and want to play aggressive cricket. We want to play better than the previous T20I teams of India, and with the new coaching staff, led by Gambhir, we'll look to eclips what the previous teams did."

Gill was in India's reserve team for the T20 World Cup 2024. However, he was released from the squad after the group stage games.

He was eventually appointed the captain of the India side for the T20I series against Zimbabwe, which the team won 4-1 under his leadership.
