For the longest of the time 'Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan' opening duo ruled the charts and the hearts of their fans with their prolific batting. Their shared sense of camaraderie has always reflected their strong friendship.

On friendship day, Star Sports released a heartwarming clipping of Shikhar Dhawan, who shares how Rohit was his favourite opening partner.

'Rohit...unke saath toh maine 8-10 saal opening kari hai, unke saath mera bond bhi bohot strong hai. He's a gem of a person, uske saath bohot opening kari hai aur uska sarr khaya hai (laughs)... i'm sure he. has said that in a lot of interviews.'


During the candid chat Shikhar also revealed that Rohit used to love when he sung during a game and sometimes also sang for him.

'He used to love it a lot when I used to sing on the pitch. In fact he used to sing for me too.'
